Quality Controller
Stornoway

The Quality Controller provides and maintains Quality Assurance and Quality Control systems and functions in the processing plant. Most of the work involves carrying out quality monitoring and sampling within processing operations on the factory floor, measuring and recording to specific criteria and reporting the results in clear format. The normal working hours will reflect hygiene checks which require to be completed before daily processing begins.
Applicants must have good IT, analytical and communication skills, both written and verbal. Also important is the ability to work methodically, accurately and with attention to detail.
Normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm, inclusive of one hour of unpaid breaks, reflecting hygiene checks which require to be completed daily before processing begins. A flexible approach to working hours is essential as the company deals with a fresh product.
Applicants must be hardworking, conscientious and flexible in their attitude. As well as having a sound understanding of the importance of food hygiene, applicants must be good timekeepers, strong on attention to detail and able to work effectively as part of the team.
