The future of the Claddach Kirkibost Centre in North Uist is under the spotlight tonight (Monday).
Urachadh Uibhist, the voluntary organisation which has been the driving force behind the community facility since its inception around 25 years ago, warns it is unlikely to be able to continue with the lease for the premises.
The building is rented from Comhairle nan Eilean Siar which will have a representative attending a public meeting this evening at 7pm in the centre.
An official from HIE will also be present at the forum.
Urachadh Uibhist said: “A solution is needed to find individuals, organisations or businesses to take forward the lease of the centre.
“Please come along and help plan the future for Claddach Kirkibost Centre.
“Do not let the building close. All the present tenants want to continue there.
It is also hoped to have the café reopen under new management.
