Another island pub set to shut 6/3/14
The Royal British Legion social club in Stornoway is due to shut next week.
The bar is expected to stop trading for good at the end of the late license at 1am on Sunday 16th March.
The local Legion branch itself is not under threat and would continue to exist.
The financial problems are focused at the social club bars operated in its premises at the Old Playhouse in Stornoway town centre.
There is not enough income to cover its running costs.
Members of the Lewis branch previously agreed to market the building after its social club continued to sustain losses.
The premises is up for sale with offers over £300,000 invited.
