Befriending Project Co-ordinators – 2 posts

Volunteering Hebrides is seeking to recruit two enthusiastic and experienced project co-ordinators to deliver the Befriending Lewis service across the Isle of Lewis.

We are looking for self-motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic and encouraging individuals who enjoy working with people, have a keen eye for detail and are able to plan and prioritise effectively within a busy and sensitive environment.

The co-ordinators will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the day to day aspects of the service which provides community Befriending support and encourages and empowers people to engage in social and community activities.

Duties include recruiting, training and managing volunteers, carrying out risk assessments, managing Befriending matches, promoting the service, creating and maintaining strong partnerships with external agencies and accurately carrying out all related administration involved in delivering the service.

Salary £22,000 to £24,000, full time 35 hours per week
