A Lewis man who grew marijuana plants at home has appeared at Stornoway Sheriff Court.

Kenneth Murdo Smith was fined £1,200 after pleading guilty to producing cannabis between September 2014 and February 2015.

Sheriff David Sutherland allowed the 42-year-old of 4 Stile Walk, Stornoway, to pay at £100 per month.
