Winds of more than 100 mph in places caused extensive powercuts across the Western isles this morning.
Western Isles seems to have been the worst hit.
Some 12,289 island properties lost power overnight.

SSE Scottish Hydro engineers and technical staff were working in extremely challenging and potentially dangerous conditions to restore supply as severe weather battered much of northern and western Scotland.
Engineers were recalled at the height of the storm as it was too dangerous to work.
They restarted repairs at 6am
