A power cut hit Lewis and parts of Harris on Monday evening.
Supplies were gradually restored but a number of areas were off for six hours.
Repairs took longer than initially anticipated affecting some streets in Stornoway as well as Newmarket, Bennadrove, Arnish, Uig, Carloway, Garynahine and Lochganvich.
Villages around Bowglass in North Harris were also in darkness for a while.
A second power cut hit the town and surrounding areas as well as Broadbay and Point districts at 10.40pm for about 20 minutes.
