Christmas dinner was a little late for hundreds of people in parts of Lewis today.
Power cuts hit the Carloway, Dalbeg and Shawbost districts with south westerly storm force winds causing faults on the electricity network.
Hydro workers braved the elements to get the power restored in time for most of the affected islanders to put the turkey in the oven at lunchtime.
Part of Newmarket near Stornoway was also without electricity this morning.
