Post office shop break-in      4/8/14

Grant Stewart whose address was given as 6 Cearn Fhlodaidh, Stornoway, received a community payback order when he was sentenced for theft at Stornoway Sheriff Court.

The 23-year-old also has to undertake 80 hours of unpaid community service work within six months.

Stewart was previously convicted of stealing four bottles of vodka after breaking into Drumblair Stores and Post Office on Dores Road, Inverness, with an unknown accomplice in December 2012.

The incident occurred on the mainland but the case was transferred to Lewis where Stewart lives.
