Port Operative
Stornoway Port Authority currently has a vacancy for a Port Operative.
The Port Authority is going through a period of change where a number of major expansion opportunities are being progressed and we are looking for motivated individuals who will thrive on the challenge of developing with the port.
The successful candidate will provide support in the daily running of the port and its assets. The aim is, as a team, to provide a high-
The work involves the servicing of arriving/departing vessels and maintenance within the port area. Some maritime knowledge is desirable but not essential as training will be given. A driving licence is required.
Port Operatives work on a flexible shift basis 24/7 in support of port operations, maintenance and will include weekends and public holidays.
A competitive salary will be offered based on the successful candidate’s experience.
