Police are attempting to trace a driver who immediately left the scene after crashing
into another vehicle.
An orange coloured 4x4-type vehicle skidded across the road and collided heavily
with a black Vauxhall Corsa last week.
The 4x4 did not stop and continued driving northbound on the A859.
The crash occurred between 3.05pm and 3.10pm on Wednesday the 20th of November, on
the A859 about half a mile south of Leurbost.
Western Isles Police Officers are undertaking enquiries to identify the driver of
the 4x4 and are keen to speak to any witnesses who may have seen this collision take
place.
Other motorists who have dashcam footage showing the collision or the orange 4x4-type
vehicle are asked to get in touch.
Police are also keen to speak to anyone who has seen any orange 4x4-type vehicles
with damage to the driver’s side.
