Fears that a young woman was the victim of criminal activity sparked a police search around the grounds of a Stornoway supermarket.
It is thought the woman had been drinking and, at the time, was unable to give an explanation to officers.
Detectives cordoned off the location where she was found, at the rear of the store on Macaulay Road on Sunday afternoon.
The female was taken to hospital for a check-
The scene was sealed off as a precaution until the circumstances became clearer.
A police spokesperson said it was not established any crime took place.
