Appeal for dash cam footage after Lewis crash

Police in the Western Isles are appealing for dashcam footage of a vehicle which
was involved in a crash in Lewis.
A grey Volkswagen Caddy van appeared to have struck two parked cars before leaving
the roadway and colliding with a cottage around 7am last Wednesday (26 June) at South
Galson.
The police force is appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.
Police Scotland said: “Anyone who may have witnessed the incident, seen the vehicle
prior to the collision or have dashcam footage and been in the area at the time is
urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 0477 of 26 June
2024.”
Police, ambulance and fire crews attended the incident and the van driver was taken
Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway.
The A857 road was blocked for a period at the location.
