A plane has been named after Barra teenager Eilidh Macleod who was killed in the Manchester nail bomb attack last year.

One of Loganair’s Twin Otters which operate the Glasgow - Barra route is now called the "Spirit of Eilidh" in tribute to the 14-year-old.

Father John Paul MacKinnon blessed the plane in a family ceremony at the Traigh Mhòr airport in Barra.

Eilidh was killed at the Ariana Grande concert on 22 May, the only Scot amongst the 22 people who perished in the blast.

Her friend Laura Macintyre suffered severe injuries in the explosion.
