Sgoil Lionacleit Pipe Band’s latest New York fundraising event takes place this weekend.
Pupils hope to perform in the Big Apple at the 20th Anniversary Tartan Week.
To help raise money towards their fares, Angus and AJ MacColl are taking part in a piping recital on Friday.
The event in the Dark Island Hotel starts at 7.30pm.
The 24 pupils in the band -
Overall, the band hope to raise £40,000 towards flights, accommodation and other travel expenses for the pupils and adult supervisors. Some funding may be required for tuition, new equipment and uniforms.
Each pupil travelling will personally contribute £500 towards the costs.
