Pair accused of pub assault

Two island men have appeared in court in connection with an alleged assault on a male staff member within the Carlton lounge bar in Stornoway.
The men aged 21 years and 24 years are charged with grabbing the the barman, pushing and kicking him within the premises.
Both are accused of using threatening and aggressive behaviour towards the male.

The two men deny all the charges when they appeared at Stornoway Sheriff Court on Thursday.
Honorary sheriff Roddie Mackay set trial for 24 February.
Both were released on bail on condition they do not to approach the male nor to enter the Carlton Bar.
