Further wintry showers are expected overnight Monday and on Tuesday morning, warns the Met Office.
Snow will fall to low ground in places though will be more widespread over hills.
Ice will be an additional hazard. Affected roads and footpaths will be slippery and potentially hazardous.
Westerly gale force winds are expected in the Southern Isles on Tuesday.
