Deputy First Minister John Swinney is due to open the new £10 million Lochboisdale marine development on Saturday.
The public ceremony takes place at 2.30pm Gasay Island.
A raft of activities will run from 2pm to 6pm, including Highland dancing, music, boat trips and a treasure hunt.
There will also be craft stall, local produce stall, bouncy castle, face painting and a tea tent as well as creel stacking.
