An islander who sent obscene and threatening texts to a teenager has been tagged and placed on a four month curfew.
Colin Mackenzie, 49, of 4 Muirneag Court, Stornoway, pleaded guilty to the offence.
Lawyer Katy Begg said her client had been going through difficulties and was drinking
at the time when he sent various texts to the 19-
Sheriff David Hall imposed a 7pm to 7am nightly curfew.
In addition, Mackenzie was fined £200 for breaching a bail condition not to drink alcohol.
