Isobel Whitaker of 59 Seaforth Road, Stornoway, has been banned from drinking alcohol for the next two years after she pleaded guilty to making a series of annoyance calls to the emergency services.

 

Sheriff David Sutherland also placed the 59-year-on a 24-month community payback order.

 

Stornoway Sheriff Court heard Whitaker persistently made seven calls to police emergency services within a few hours on one occasion in July - when there was no emergency.

 

In August, she made annoyance 999 calls.

 

She repeatedly called the ambulance services on one day in March.
