Noisy neighbour in court            12/10/14

A Stornoway man who annoyed neighbours by repeatedly playing music at high volume has been banned from drinking alcohol.

David Innes Macleod must also obey a 8pm to 6am curfew for the next six months.

At Stornoway Sheriff Court, sheriff David Sutherland also sentenced the 26-year-old to a two year community payback order and instructed him to undertake 100 hours of unpaid community service work.

Macleod previously pleaded guilty to five charges of blasting his TV or music system at top volume at his then address was at 2 Mackenzie Street, Stornoway, and refusing to turn down the sound for police officers between February and May.
