Motorist drove without insurance

An islander who drove without insurance has been fined.

Colin Campbell pleaded guilty by letter.

Stornoway Sheriff Court heard the 53-year-old of Uig, Lewis, was caught without insurance at Carishader on 18 May.

Sheriff David Sutherland fined him £300 and imposed six points on his licence.
