Isles MP Angus MacNeil said: “This is fantastic news and I am absolutely delighted for the senior girls’ football team.
“I congratulate team coach, Jack Bain together with the staff at the Nicolson Institute who will be over the moon with this result.
“With the Scottish Cup “making its way to Stornoway” I am sure the celebrations will continue for some time to come.”
“This is the third consecutive final for some of the girls in the Nicolson Institute senior team and they are worthy of playing at international level. The Scottish Schools’ Football Association must surely recognise and acknowledge the talent within this team.”
