Lewis marine engineer, Tony Morrison (above), has been appointed as the new harbourmaster for Stornoway Port Authority.

Mr Morrison was educated at the Nicolson Institute in Stornoway.

He is also a certificated RNLI coxswain currently serving as Depute Cox on the Stornoway Lifeboat.

He and his family live in the village of Sandwick near Stornoway.

Mr Morrison’s working life has focused largely around Stornoway harbour and he has many years of experience in dealing with boats and skippers using the port.
