Ten new homes for affordable rent are to be built at Leurbost in Lewis by the Hebridean
Construction on the £1.52 million scheme is due to start in January.
Two thirds of the cost is being funded by a Scottish Government grant.
The comhairle is contributing £24,000 to build the five semi-detached blocks on Cleascro
Road, on the Achmore side of the present housing.
HHP will provide the remainder of the funding.
