Training into influencing neurological health services   3/3/13

People with a range of different neurological conditions – and their carers – have the chance to get involved in planning and improving their neurological health services thanks to a local free training course.

‘Neurological Voices’ is a short training course for people with conditions such as Ataxia, Dystonia, Epilepsy, Huntington’s Disease, ME, Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease, and their carers, and is run by the Neurological Alliance of Scotland, in partnership with local NHS Health Boards.

The training consists of two sessions spread over two weeks. It explains how patients and carers can have their say to influence and improve neurological services.

It aims to increase people’s confidence and ability to communicate their views effectively.
