The first two rounds of the National Gaelic Schools Debate competition will be held in Stornoway next month.

 

Lionacleit School and the Nicolson Institute are pitched against each other. Pupils from Castlebay School will take on Wallace High School.  Sir E Scott School has been drawn against Oban High School.

The first stages take place at e-Sgoil on 7th and 8th of November and will be streamed online through You Tube.

 

In total some sixteen teams are due to compete with the final stages to be held in Glasgow and Edinburgh at the end of November.

 

The managing committee paid tribute to Donald MacLean and Seonaidh Alick MacPherson - both co-founders of the debate. They committee extended their sympathies to both families.
