MV Loch Seaforth resumes sailings

2 December 2024

MV Loch Seaforth is resuming sailings after being stormbound in Stornoway since last night.

Due to gale force northerly winds and a heavy sea swell, the overnight freight service did not operate.

This morning’s sailings between Stornoway and Ullapool were also cancelled.

With the wind changing direction, the vessel is to restart sailings at lunchtime today but at the earlier time of 1.30pm as the ship is replacing her fast rescue craft in Ullapool Bay.

The late afternoon departure from Ullapool will operate to timetable though arrival in Stornoway may be delayed by 30 minutes.
