Murder trial adjourned over “unforeseen circumstances”   16/5/13

The trial of two men accused of murdering teenager Liam Aitchison in the Western Isles has been adjourned until Monday.

Judge Lord Kinclaven today told jurors that “unforeseen circumstances” has caused a delay in the case at the High Court in Glasgow.

No evidence was heard, but is expected to resume next week.

Johnanthan MacKinnon and Stefan Millar - both aged 22 - deny murdering 16 year-old Mr Aitchison in Steinish on Lewis on November 23 2011.

Evidence has not been heard in the trial since part way through Tuesday.
