A murder mystery game takes place at the islands' two main museums this weekend.

The tale is a mix of historical, fantasy and folklore with participants invited to find clues on a journey to revealing the culprit.

The Saturday events in Museum nan Eilean at the Lews Castle and at Lionacleit are part of the national Festival of Museums weekend.

At each location, the mystery takes place in Gaelic from from noon until 1.30pm while the English version starts at 2.30pm.

Places are restricted to 12 places for each event with an age range from 14 - 24 years. Advance booking is required. Reservations for the Stornoway event can be made on 01851 822746 while 01870 603542 is the number for the Lionacleit event.
