Muirneag repairs 28/12/11
The Stornoway freight ferry Muirneag has been repaired over the Christmas period.
The vessel suffered fuel system problems after returning from a lengthy refit and engine renewal in drydock in Gydnia, Poland.
The MV Isle of Lewis had carried out extra overnight sailings to transport lorries to the mainland.
Spare parts were shipped up to the Western Isles and engineers fixed the issues at the weekend.
The Muirneag sailed on Tuesday but severe weather has since kept her tied up in dock.
