“Therefore, bookings for motorhomes are subject to cancellation.”
Supermarket supplies for Uist face a diversion via Ullapool followed by a long drive to Leverburgh to be shipped across the Sound of Harris.
Motorhomes occupy a large footprint on the ferry’s vehicle deck, reducing space for other vehicles.

Vehicles getting priority include trucks carrying food and other goods for supermarkets and shops as well as consignments of drugs, medical oxygen and other medical supplies.
The transportation of bulk fuel, livestock, and animal feed is also expected to be included on the list.
