Mod-goers urged not to clog up hospital carpark      14/10/14

NHS Highland is appealing to those attending the Royal National Mod in Inverness to park in public car parks and not in the patient and staff car parks at the Royal Northern Infirmary.

The community hospital in Ness Walk is close to the main Mod venue at Eden Court Theatre Mod-goers are in Inverness.

Maureen Mackay, charge nurse at the hospital said: “Several members of the public and staff have been in touch with the local management team advising of the difficulty in parking at the hospital which is not only causing delays but also upset to people who may already be vulnerable.

“While we appreciate that people will want to park as close to the venue as possible we would ask that they use one of the many public car parks in the area and ensure that parking at the hospital if left for those attending, visiting or working in the building.

“We have already contacted Eden Court and are grateful for the additional steps they will take to help to address this.”
