Mòd travellers are being urged to make bus and ferry bookings as soon as possible.

Although its another six weeks before the Royal National Mòd kicks off in Stornoway, ferry and bus services on the Ullapool to Stornoway route will be operating at full capacity.

People are advised its not too early to book travel tickets -  those failing to make transport reservations in time run the risk of being stuck on the mainland.

Pre-booking also avoids unnecessary congestion and delays, said the local Mod committee.

Passengers travelling by car and by foot, are asked to bookings well in advance and also check in early at the ferry terminals.

People intending to use the bus service between Ullapool and Inverness should also pre-book to avoid disappointment.
