A motorist has received three penalty points for using a mobile phone while driving.
Conor Braniff, 24, of Ballynahinch, Northern Ireland, was making a call while behind the wheel of his moving van on Sandwick Road in June.
Stornoway Sheriff Court heard he had been offered a fixed penalty but failed to pay.
He was fined £150 on top of the points on his licence.
