Well known Free Church minister, Rev Dr Iain D Campbell, is critically ill.
A spokesman for the church said he took seriously ill last night and has been transferred to a Glasgow hospital for critical care.
The church asked people to pray for Mr Campbell and his family and for the medical staff who care for him.
