Midnight sailing for weather-bound ferry                   17/8/14

The weather-delayed MV Clansman eventually departed Castlebay at teatime after being stuck in port all day.

The ferry could not sail due to 45 knot winds causing disruption to today’s sailings to the mainland.

Sunday night’s 8.50pm service from Castlebay to Lochboisdale and the morning's sailing back to Castlebay are cancelled.

She is now expected arrive Oban at 11pm. She will depart there at midnight and is due to dock in in Barra at 6am tomorrow (Mon) morning.

Monday’s inward sailings should operate as normal.
