Microlight aircraft crashlands

A microlight aircraft crashed landed near Huisinish in North Harris.

The male and female - both in the 40s - were forced to bring the lightweight machine down on a beach after it hit a bird which damaged the propeller.

A police spokesperson said the pair were uninjured in the incident which occurred in recent days and was later reported to them.
