 Local Services

Hebrides News

NHS Western Isles plans to hold a series of informal public meetings to gather islanders' feedback over how local mental health services can be improved.

The health board said the events across the Western Isles will look at the existing and future needs of those with mental health problems.

It wants to hear about how services are being used, which services are most needed, and how they could best be improved in the future.

The health board hopes the December events will inform it of the “bigger picture” of the health and wellbeing needs and inequalities of the people of the Western Isles living with mental health problems.

Proposals for redesigning services will then be published in spring.
