A woman ended up covered in food after her partner overturned the kitchen table in a temper, Stornoway Sheriff Court has heard.

 

Iain David Munro, who previously admitted the offence, was placed on a two year community payback order when he appeared for sentencing.

 

Sheriff David Sutherland banned him from drinking alcohol and instructed him to undertake 120 hours of unpaid community service work

 

The 49-year-old of 14 Cearn Shodaidh accepted the charge of threatening behaviour by acting aggressively causing the table incident on 24 September, shouting at his partner and making abusive comments to her.
