Progressive is an independent market research agency. Throughout 2017 we will be conducting the Islands Visitor Survey on behalf of Shetland Islands Council/Orkney Islands Council/Comhairle nan Eilean Siar in partnership with VisitScotland to learn about the people who visit Shetland/Orkney/the Outer Hebrides for holidays and/or business. We want to conduct short interviews with visitors to the islands throughout the year. Findings from these interviews will help the Councils to encourage more visitors to come and are therefore extremely important to life on the Islands.
Job description:
We are looking to recruit people from any part of the Outer Hebrides to conduct short exit interviews with visitors at departure points from the islands – ferry terminals and airports. Interviewing shifts will be scheduled to coincide with ferry and airline timetables and may include early morning, evening and weekend work. Pay will be upwards of £13 per hour.
This role would be perfect if you’re outgoing, confident and enjoy meeting people.
To be eligible you must:
- Be available to work flexible hours
- Possess a professional manner and smart appearance
- Possess a very good standard of English
- Enjoy and feel comfortable approaching and engaging with all types of people
- Have good communication skills
- Be able to work unsupervised
