Man broke restraining order 17/2/14
A Balivanich man has been remanded in custody for a pre-sentencing assessment.
At Stornoway Sheriff Court on Friday, Calum Macrury pleaded guilty to punching a
police officer and trying to headbutt him on the previous night.
The 49-year-old - who was previously banned from entering the Southern Isles - is
also due to be sentenced for breaking a restraining order imposed by Lochmaddy Sheriff
Court.
He accepted the harassment offence, that he tried to communicate with a woman he
is banned from contacting by sending a letter via her relative.
Macrury, whose address was given as 15 Scotland Street, Stornoway, is due to return
to court for sentencing in a fortnight.
