Man breached alcohol testing order           31/3/14

A man who breached an alcohol testing order has been sent to custody for four weeks.

Donald John Macaulay of 11 Cearn Tharasaidh, Stornoway, was placed on a two year alcohol testing order at Stornoway Sheriff Court  in January.

The 54-year-old was also banned from drinking alcohol for 24 months after he was convicted of threatening behaviour.

In addition, Macaulay accepted he failed to fulfil a community payback order imposed last year after he was convicted of buying alcohol for a 13-year-old boy in 2012.

On Friday, Sheriff David Sutherland sentenced him to custody. The alcohol ban and testing order continues to 2016.
