There will be fundraising quiz on Friday 14 April at 7.30 in Lodge Fortrose, Kenneth Street to support the Mountain View School for the Deaf in Malawi. The school provides education for 150 pupils, about half of whom are orphans. Due to failing crops there is a risk that parents will not be able to afford the tuition fees so the various Lodges in Ross and Cromarty are undertaking fundraising with the aim of paying the annual fees for all pupils for two years. The Lodges have previously supplied teaching materials and equipment, teacher salaries and, following an outbreak of cholera in 2014 a solar powered water pump.

Ramsay McGhee, who with other representatives of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Ross and Cromarty has visited the school a number of times, will give a talk about the school and the difficulties faced by the pupils and staff.

The quiz will be for teams of four (£10 per team) and there will also be a raffle with various prizes.
