Council considers lower speed limits 22/9/14
Lower speed limits may be introduced on a number of island roads following concerns raised to the Comhairle.
On Lewis, sections of road at Carishader, Arnol, Callanish, Breasclete as well as at Balantrushall/Shader are being considered for a lower limit.
There have been concerns that vehicle speeds through Seilibost in Harris are too fast.
A review will also be carried out for Nunton, Benbecula; Howmore and Ludaig in South Uist as well as at Lochmaddy, North Uist.
