This is the second year running the group clinched the acclaimed prize which is hotly battled by the large mainland choirs at the annual Gaelic event.

Dingwall Choir is led by conductor Kirsteen Menzies.

The other top award of the choral singing competitions is the Margrat Duncan Memorial Trophy which was claimed by Lochaber Gaelic Choir. This is the third time they have won the trophy but never before on their home turf.
