Loganair is resuming flights to Western Isles airports this (Sunday) late afternoon
following a swathe of plane cancellations yesterday and earlier today.
Loganair says it has standby aircraft and crews in place to help recover disrupted
services as soon as weather permits.
With the reducing wind speeds, the airline plans to squeeze in a couple of flights
to Stornoway.
The lunchtime departure to Inverness will not operate but the flight between the
Highland capital to Stornoway is due to go-ahead.
The Glasgow return service is also lined-up to operate but was running late.
In addition, the Stornoway - Edinburgh Airport departure is scheduled.
The Glasgow - Barra service was cancelled.
Loganair earlier offer booked Western Isles passengers the option to change Sunday
flights without charge.
Affected passengers could choose to re-book on an alternative flight up to seven
days from their original travel date. There will be no change fee or difference in
fare payable.
Travellers should note that unless their flight is cancelled, no refund will be offered
for any operating service.
