Lochboisdale Amenity Trust has been awarded funding from Hebridean Housing Partnership's (HHP) community benefit scheme.

A cheque for £300 was handed over by HHP’s maintenance contractor, FES FM.

The money will help provide hanging baskets and other improvements for the township.

HHP’s chair, Cllr David Blaney said ‘Over the past year, HHP have been working closely with Lochboisdale Amenity Trust to help improve the overall appearance of the village.

"An important aspect of this was the transformation of HHP’s own properties at Calabhaigh which were all painted under the planned maintenance programme.

"I am also pleased to be working with the Lochboisdale residents group to help them progress local issues."

FES FM - HHP’s main contractor - has contributed a significant amount of community benefit donations to organisations throughout the Western Isles.
