Linda Norgrove Foundation 10k run 28/9/14
The fourth Linda Norgrove Foundation 10k run takes place this Saturday.
The charity fundraising event tracks round the Valtos Peninsula in Uig, Lewis.
All money raised goes towards helping women and children affected by the decades of war in Afghanistan.
It starts at 12 noon at the Cnip end of Reef Beach and both runners and walkers are welcome, as are children in buggies and dogs on leads.
There will be soup and baking following the event for those taking part.
Participants can make it more of an outing by pitching their tent at the camp site
on Reef Beach on Friday and Saturday nights. They would also have the use of the

People who cannot make it on the day are encourage to run or walk wherever they happen to be in the world on the day.
