Leverburgh RNLI lifeboat is hosting an open day at Leverburgh Hall on Saturday

The open day has become an annual event since the Lifeboat arrived in May 2012.

People will have the chance to meet the RNLI mascot, Stormy Stan and there will be children's games, raffle and tombola in addition to tea, coffee and baking. Other fundraising features an auction and bottle stall.

The RNLI's sea-safety tent will be at the open day, where people can find out all they need to know about being safe at sea.

The local sea-safety officer will be doing free lifejacket checks on the day.

Leverburgh Lifeboat, RNLB The Royal Thames, will be alongside Leverburgh Pier (pending operational requirements), to allow people to have a look around, chat to crew, and find out more about the work of the RNLI's volunteers.
